YAMAN NKYMN, a contemporary artist and the creative director of SABIÉ, the group pursuing the contemporary Chanoyu (authentic Japanese tea ceremony), will launch a new work in collaboration with Reijiro Izumi, part of the blood-line of Sen-no-Rikyu the originator of the Chanoyu culture, and the current head of SABIÉ which started in 1988.
現代アーティストであり、現代の茶の湯を追求する集団「茶美会」のクリエイティブ・ディレクターでもあるナカヤマン。が、茶の湯文化の創始者とも言える千利休の子孫であり、1988年に開始した「茶美会」の現主宰である裏千家 伊住禮次朗とのコラボレーションによる新作を発表します。
This is a work of contemporary art and also a traditional tea ceremony that only 9 people in the entire world will experience. YAMAN will re-interpret the Chanoyu culture from the perspective of Relational Art which was first defined in "Esthétique Relationnelle" in 1998.
これは、現代アート作品であり、世界で9人しか体験できない伝統的な茶事でもあります。ナカヤマン。は、1998年に『Esthétique Relationnelle』で初めて定義されたリレーショナル・アートの視点から茶の湯文化を再解釈しました。
Curating YAMAN’s work “(UN)KEEPALL” (2021) and Chanoyu utensils from the last 450 years until the present, he will hold the exhibition “跡見: 追儺 黒節分/ATOMI: WHITE2BLACK" for 3 days for 27 people a day, in November 2023
at an exclusive space in Kyoto which is profoundly connected to Sen-no-Rikyu, Sugawara-no-Michizane and himself.

This is based on the a style “跡見/ATOMI tea ceremony”, a tradition we have for people unable to attend the exclusive tea ceremony, with the concept “Information Transmission and its (Ingrained) Distortion”.
「情報伝達とその(沈着した)歪曲」をコンセプトに、茶の湯の「跡見の茶事」の形式を写す形で、2023年11月に3日間、各日27名限定で個展 "跡見: 追儺 黒節分" を開催いたします。
